As a therapist, I work collaboratively with clients in processing their experiences and finding ways to solve problems as well as gain insight into reasons for maladaptive behaviors. In the treatment process, I encourage clients to formulate treatment goals and we work together to make progress. I see my role as one of support, guidance, active listening, and empowering the client to develop positive coping mechanisms in the process of making changes to thoughts and behavior. Treatment modalities that I use are Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Strengths-based and Solution-Focused therapy depending on which combination suits my client. Some areas in which I specialize are anxiety, depression, relationship issues/divorce and low self-esteem. I see clients in session via in person, video, phone, livechat or email messaging. Clients should expect to take away a sense of clarity, validation and an idea of how to move forward productively.
