As a Master's degree counseling recipient with a concentration in mental health, I have an extensive background in counseling within clinical, residential, and community settings. I have over nine years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Individuals who struggled with depression, anxiety, stress management, ADHD/ADD, sleep issues, substance abuse, relationship issues, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, self-esteem issues, mood disturbance, mania, and psychosis. I use a client-centered approach because I believe therapy should focus on you (the client) and meeting you where you are. I also incorporate a holistic approach in treatment to emphasize synergy between mind, body, and spirit. Other methods include, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic approaches. I will be here to support and guide you through the therapeutic process because I understand that the appropriate approach to client care is essential to therapeutic success. Throughout your therapeutic journey, you can expect to learn new coping skills, a different approach to life's challenges, and an increased understanding of who you are and where you desire to be. Therapy is like taking a road trip per se. On this road there can be roadblocks and rough terrain, but having an open mind, a willingness to try, and determination to move forward, you can discover possibilities and purpose along your journey towards growth, purpose and prosperity.
