Lara Veon
I am an integrative psychotherapist with a private practice in Chicagoland. As a body-inclusive practitioner, my clinical work is grounded in somatic psychotherapy and emphasizes the healing capacity of the mind-body-spirit connection. I hold a Masters degree in Community Counseling from Loyola University Chicago and a Masters degree in Teaching from Webster University. I've supplemented my education with post-graduate training in trauma, somatics, equine-assisted psychotherapy, and neuroscience. I am passionate about a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy. I believe the integration of mind, body, and spirit in a safe, therapeutic setting can provide profound opportunities for healing. I have experience working with those desiring help with issues related to trauma and abuse, stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, parenting, mood management, and grief/loss. I enjoy working with a diverse clientele. My greatest desire for my clients is that our time together becomes a house of belonging - a sacred space where they can safely explore and know their truest self. I believe therapy can allow us to use the innate wisdom with which we are all born to explore the beautiful questions of the heart and move toward wholeness in spirit.
