I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I earned my Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from University of Houston – Clear Lake and a double Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communications from University of St. Thomas. I am passionate about working with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, life transitions, adjustment disorders, culture shock, and relational issues. I have received training in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. I utilize an integrative approach to tailor to the needs of each client. I am a firm believer in evidence-based strategies as they are shown to be most effective. I also incorporate self-compassion and mindfulness-based techniques. My therapeutic style consists of deep empathy, openness, kindness, and a sense of humor. I believe that a therapeutic relationship that is built on trust, collaboration, authenticity, and transparency can help facilitate healing, growth, and the blossoming of one's potential. My commitment to you is to foster a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable to be yourself as you are.
