Welcome to the next step in your journey! I will be your guide. I am Stephen Adams, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been a therapist for 9+ years, but I've been in the helping field for over 16 years. I provide counseling to boys and men, in order to offer help and healing, but also hope. I take a holistic and eclectic approach to counseling, whether it be evaluating physical, mental/emotional, spiritual and/or social issues in order to work with clients to determine how they can best be helped to restore hope. My first priority is to develop a relationship with you so that you feel comfortable opening up about the strains and struggles that are holding you back. I want you to feel heard and to be able to express what you may not have been able to with others. This is a process, but restoration occurs within relationship. I am simply offering you a safe place to explore and practice this.

To make our site free for consumers, providers on Psych Hub pay fees to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What is the relationship between Psych Hub and these providers?

The providers listed on our site are all independent entities from Psych Hub. We have a contractual relationship with each provider that governs the terms of their participation on the site, and in some cases, as mentioned above, their use of Psych Hub's educational content. There is no other affiliation between Psych Hub and the providers listed on our site.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
