I have a License in Professional Counseling in the state of Oregon. I’ve worn a number of hats over my lifetime, but none have been as satisfying as working alongside people as they seek to overcome challenges in their lives through therapy. In my time as a therapist, I have worked with children, teens and adults in residential and community settings with such issues as depression, anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, and grief/loss. My treatment style is eclectic and individualized. I utilize a number of different approaches including Strength Based, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I strive to be client centered and inclusive in my approach. I have a calm, accepting demeanor and I work to create a safe space where healing and growth can take place. In the first session, I start by asking what brought the client to seek therapy and any specific issues or goals that they may have. As therapy progresses, I use individualized therapeutic interventions in hopes that clients will be able to implement new strategies that can assist them in achieving their goals for therapy.
