Laura Picard
I'm Laura Picard, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in CA, holding a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Prior to being a therapist I spent 10 years in entertainment marketing and worked as a nanny in Boston during undergrad. My diverse background makes me approachable and relatable. I foster a compassionate and empathetic space with specialties in anxiety, childhood trauma, complex trauma, PTSD and BPD. I love working with teens, adolescents and young adults. My therapy approach integrates DBT and IFS in an eclectic framework focused on the past, present, and future self. DBT teaches practical coping skills for managing emotions and building resilience. IFS fosters deeper self-exploration, helping clients separate from their symptoms and connect with their true Self. By addressing past wounds, grounding in the present, and envisioning an aligned future, I empower clients to heal, grow, and embrace their authentic selves for lasting transformation. Working with me means entering a compassionate, trauma-informed space where your experiences are honored. I focus on holistic healing by addressing the roots of challenges while teaching tangible tools (DBT) and fostering connection to your true self (IFS). My goal is to empower you to access inner strength and wisdom for lasting growth. Genuinely curious about your story, I’ll partner with you to explore what healing means and create a meaningful, goal-aligned therapeutic journey.
