I am a licensed psychologist, both in the states of MN and WI. I am formally trained in clinical psychology (depression/anxiety, etc), but can also offer a more specialized approach to care using a rehabilitation/health psychology lens. This stems from working the last 8.5 years in an inpatient physical rehab hospital for those with medical injuries/illness. Hello and welcome! I am happy you're here. Choosing a therapist is a highly personal decision and I'm hoping that I can help ease this burden. My approach is to initially speak with you about your concerns and discuss if we are a good fit. If so, we will move forward. And, if not we can explore the many different options available to you. If you feel overwhelmed, confused, and somewhat skeptical of this whole process, you're not alone. Allow me to both normalize this for you and help you navigate this experience in a pressure-free environment. Once established, you can expect that I am a very direct and CBT oriented therapist who believes that psychologists are not made for long-term care. My job is to teach you the related education and skills to manage your own situation.
