Leslie Cobb
I’ve been a therapist for the better part of a decade and have worked in trauma support services for nearly 20 years. My counseling experience includes working with individuals, couples, and families in both inpatient and outpatient facilities, acute mental health stabilization units and substance abuse rehab facilities. I have both personal and professional experience working with veterans and am passionate about helping folks transition back into the civilian world. And we’ll laugh a lot. :) Brené’s Brown once said, "We have to be vigilant about creating a culture in which people feel safe, seen, heard, and respected." It’s my goal to help individuals and families find a sense of safety and belonging in our sessions and inside themselves. I am dedicated to creating an open and inclusive environment that welcomes and reflects diversity of all kinds. My approach focuses on the person's strengths utilizing a CBT framework and incorporates Trauma-Informed Care insight and lessons. When you develop a relationship with a caring, attuned therapist you will find new ways to solve problems, heal old wounds, and change the way you live your life. Working your way through mental health questions can be uncomfortable. I am here to help you identify existing strengths, as well as introduce you to new strategies for managing your mental well being. You may find it takes less time to get noticeable relief than what you think.
