Linda May
My practice is rooted in the conviction that every individual possesses a natural capacity for growth and self-determination. I serve as a collaborative guide, helping clients explore their own strengths and pathways to resolution. This approach underscores personal ownership of one’s thoughts, emotions, and actions, recognizing that clients are the ultimate experts in their own lives. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as my core framework, while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to address patterns of thought and behavior. I view trauma as a guiding lens for understanding clients’ experiences and customizing interventions. I bring significant experience working with high-acuity patients in psychiatric settings, especially in addressing complex trauma-related challenges. Additionally, I integrate somatic and neuroplasticity-focused strategies, recognizing the essential mind-body connection in fostering meaningful, lasting change. As a clinical therapist I strive to facilitate actualization of true authentic self. I offer a safe nonjudgmental space for discovery and healing.
