I have more than 20 years professional experience as a clinician. My experience includes direct clinical practice and supervisory/administrative experience. I have worked at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, UT Physicians, and the Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. I have been in private practice for eight years. I believe therapy is a collaborative process for helping individuals/couples to identify solutions for their areas of concern. I work jointly with clients to help them change their ways of thinking, improve coping skills, reduce unhealthy behaviors, and enhance relationships. I utilize various therapy approaches when working with individuals/couples. I provide a safe place to help individuals dealing with grief, life concerns, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, cancer, work, and trauma. After sessions, clients should be able to identify healthy options available to help them address their mental health concerns. Clients will also be provided with resources and referrals as appropriate.
