I hold a Master’s degree from Antioch University in Clinical Psychology, and a certificate from The Psychoanalytic Center of California where I am also currently a candidate in the psychoanalytic training program. I am committed to providing a sex positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally sensitive space. I believe that symptoms we experience is the way in which body and mind tell us that something is going on on a deeper level. Rather than treat symptoms alone, I think it is more helpful to try to get to the root of the matter by getting in touch with our unconscious (often referred to as subconscious) via dreams and free association. By listening closely to what you bring to our session, I will facilitate understanding yourself in depth in order to help create long lasting change. Therapy can be difficult work with lots of emotions stirred up but, I think the feedback I receive most from patients is that over time, they are able to see things in ways they never have. They have greater self compassion, self esteem, reduced anxiety and depression, better boundaries, and more fulfilling relationships.
