Marcelline Girlie
Dr. Marcelline L. Girlie is a Haitian-born native of the island of St Martin. She is a dual board- certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with various experience in emergency medicine, critical care, primary care and pediatrics. She is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Dr. Girlie then pursued her Master's Degree in Nursing as well as her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Robert-Morris University in Pittsburg, PA. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health and mental care problems throughout the lifespan. Dr. Girlie has an intense approach in the care of and advocacy of the family unit. Ensuring the physical and mental health of the individuals are catered to no matter their life’s journeys and stages of development. She emphasizes on the attention to behavior changes and the need for social and therapeutic interventions. Dr. Girlie practices an integrative style including functional medicine and nutritional psychiatry. She has taught in academia for various universities and continues to teach in various formats about physical and mental care.
