Mark Morrow
I grew up on the Sunny South Texas coast of Corpus Christi, and earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology & Political Science at the University of Houston. I also accrued special studies hours in Early Childhood Development at Southwestern Univ. & ACC, coupled with 10 years of experience in education before attaining my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at Argosy. I have earned a full LPC License in the state of Texas, and have about 12 years of experience in the field of Counseling. My approach to counseling is from a Cognitive Behavioral perspective with the use of interventions in the Creative Arts. This experience includes work with Senior Citizens, Adults, Adolescents, and Children. My counseling background spans over 10 years of work in dual diagnosis, GLBTQI Issues, Depression, Trauma/Crisis Intervention, Anger Management, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem, Alcohol/Chemical Dependency, and many other issues. Healing is a journey of self-examination. Looking at life from a Cognitive Behavioral perspective we will work together to set goals to explore the thoughts that are causing emotional problems, misperceptions of the world around us, how to use creative outlets to break away from limited and distorted thinking, how to achieve interactions with others and our environment that are healthy, and teach one to reinvent life in order to thrive and be happy.
