Mark Whitney
I am a life-long resident of the Pacific Northwest, thriving in Western Oregon about one hour away from the Oregon Coast. I was born and raised in neighboring Idaho and I am an alumni of Boise State University, home to my beloved Broncos. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 18 years of clinical experience working with clients in treatment settings ranging from Community Mental Health to my own private practice and many more in-between. I have extensive experience working with clients with treatment needs ranging from depression and anxiety to stress and anger management. I am currently certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) as well as Anger Management (CSAM). By utilizing a transdiagnostic model combining elements of cognitive, behavioral and solution-focused therapies in a mindfulness-based approach, I can help you get unstuck and back into your life. By focusing on being fully present doing more of what matters most to you, you will develop a sense of vitality and well-being. By practicing an eclectic approach, my goal is to help my clients achieve their personal wellness goals. My belief is that wellbeing starts with connecting to and acting on those things that are most important to us; all the while being present for all of our moments and reflecting on our lives, taking stock of the interconnection with others and the world around us. From this, we start to feel invigorated and inspired, living life intentionally with energy and purpose. Are you ready? Let's get started today.
