I received a Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from North Carolina State University in 2015. I received my Master of Education in College Student Development and Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. I am certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor in North Carolina. Additionally, I recently became a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional through Postpartum Support International. While my main theoretical orientation stems from existential, Adlerian, and feminist counseling concepts, I utilize a variety of techniques and interventions in my counseling. As a counseling professional, I assist people from a variety of different backgrounds with these challenges. I work from a synthesized theoretical framework combining the models of existential philosophy, Adlerian therapy, and the feminist orientation to enact healthy self-concepts and senses of purpose for my clients.
