Hi! I am an LPC currently based in Golden, CO. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX, where I began working with marginalized populations, particularly those experiencing homelessness and incarceration. My experience includes working with justice-involved teenagers in a substance use treatment program, children and their families in an inpatient setting, justice-involved adults in an outpatient clinic, and adults in a correctional setting. I frequently see clients who struggle with addiction, relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, difficulty managing life responsibilities, depression, suicidal thoughts, and psychosis. I have a genuine, compassionate approach to working with clients. Many people struggle to feel understood, and relief sometimes comes just by learning to put words to your experience. You have a story to share, and I love working with people to help them better understand how to navigate their struggles, as well as highlighting their gifts and strengths. I acknowledge systems and social factors which impact mental health and well-being, while giving you tools to cope and thrive in a broken world. I specialize in working with those impacted by the justice system and incarceration, but am excited to work with you regardless of your background if you think we might be a good fit. In our work together, we will create a treatment plan tailored to your goals to guide our time together. My priority is to create a space in which you feel understood and safe to process whatever is burdening you. I often provide concrete steps for you to work on outside of sessions to enhance your progress.
