Morgan White
Hi, I'm Morgan, and I am excited for the chance to get to know you and your family. I work (most frequently) with neurodivergent children and adolescents. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified AutPlay Therapist, and I'm awaiting final approval of my Registered Play Therapist designation. I am also a neurodivergent person who is parenting a neurodivergent child. You'll come to see that I am someone who is excited about the work I do and takes joy in connecting with others. I love working with clients who have ADHD, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorders, and other forms of neurodivergence. I use play therapy to connect with them and help them learn about their brains, their emotions, and new, more comfortable ways of expressing themselves and meeting their needs. I also enjoy connecting with parents who feel alone in the unique challenges that come with parenting these children. It can be hard to feel like the challenges are respected and the positives appreciated. In my office space, I try to anticipate and meet my clients' needs. This starts with our low-lighting waiting room where parents and siblings are welcome to spend time. There's a kitchen where I am happy to provide some light snacks and water for kids and parents (or coffee!). We have a sensory friendly room for when my clients are feeling overwhelmed, a standard Child-Centered Play Therapy playroom, and a space with access to Sandtray therapy materials and lots of art materials.
