Nancy Kenyon Richardson
Hello, I am Dr. Nancy Kenyon Richardson ("Dr. Nancy" for short). My passion is helping people overcome whatever is holding them back from living their best life. I often tell people, if I am still your therapist in 3 years and we are working on the same problems, please fire me! You deserve to move forward towards your goals. I apply a variety of skills and education to provide the therapy best suited to each individual, couple, or family. You are my focus. My training includes EMDR therapy which is highly effective for healing trauma. I am certified in the methods of relationship building by Dr. Gottman. I am dually licensed with an LCMHC and an LADC license and am trained to administer a wide variety of mental health testing for accurate diagnosing. The environment set is person centered with a focus on helping you to accurately identify the root of your struggles and to heal. We will work collaboratively on targeting specific problem areas and changing the parts of your psychological makeup that are harming you. For example, coping skills learned in childhood may have worked for you in the situations you found yourself in as a child, but these same coping skills may be causing you harm today in your adulthood. We can change patterns.
