Nima Saalabi
I'm a QTBIPOC somatic trauma therapist. I offer a warm, safe space for you to practice listening to your body. I work well with folks looking for deeper healing. I work from an explicitly intersectional, gender-affirming, sex-positive, anti-racist lens. My practice is poly & kink friendly. I am trained in somatic experiencing at the advanced level. I offer a decolonized & anti-oppression approach to body therapy & trauma recovery that draws from ancestral, dance-movement, & expressive arts practices. Sometimes talking is not enough. In somatic therapy we practice slowing down to help you regulate your nervous system and tap into your direct felt-sense experience of yourself within your social context. By learning the language of the body you can contact directly your true feelings, needs, and values. Together we can explore concrete tools to help you shift out of patterns that do not fully serve you, while drawing upon somatic awareness & expressive practices to help you shift stuck energies and creatively express your truths.
