My journey toward becoming a therapist was sparked by my own challenges with feeling understood and affirmed as a young queer person seeking professional support. As someone who knows first hand how harmful the mental health field can be, I feel honored to be able to provide a warm and affirming space for my clients to explore themselves and engage in healing. I take a collaborative, non-pathologizing approach when it comes to my work with clients. You are not a problem to be fixed. We will work together to cultivate a space where you feel safe enough to both process difficult emotions and celebrate joy. I often incorporate tools such as a feelings wheel, journaling, digital collage/expressive art activities, and mindfulness practices within sessions. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+, trans/non-binary, and neurodivergent folks. Initial sessions with me involve exploring and building upon your strengths, values, and community connection. Over time, my clients often report an increase in self-compassion and confidence with managing anxiety and stress. Using a blend of mind-body techniques often supports clients in feeling more ease within their bodies and a better understanding of their body's unique messages and how to respond in a way that eases distress.
