Pamela Walton

Therapist
LPC
Female

I received my MA in Community Counseling from Argosy University in 2009, and I am also a proud University of Georgia Bulldog! I have over 12 years of experience as a therapist to college students at an HBCU in the Metro Atlanta Area. Additionally, I traveled the world for 13 years as a flight attendant for a major airline. My style tends to work best for those who struggle with co-dependency, boundary issues, self-esteem challenges, stress/anxiety, and issues with personal identity. My approach is grounded in a Womanist framework where I take into consideration the overlapping intersectionalities of our personal identities that can easily complicate the issues of life. I use a holistic, solution-focused, multicultural, and cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approach in treatment. We will determine your most challenging issues, and what thought, behavioral, and/or relational patterns might be holding you back from becoming your most empowered self. Working with me, my desire is that clients will walk away feeling empowered and hopeful. My intention is to help clients build strong mental, emotional and spiritual foundations beginning from within to create a greater sense of peace in their lives.
