I highly value relationships, and make my relationship with my clients a high priority. As a therapist, I am warm, engaging, and REAL and seek to come alongside you in your journey toward healing with a spirit of humility and gentleness even when I need to share some hard truths. I deeply enjoy seeing clients realize their own strengths and discover ways they can overcome challenges and be the best form of themselves. As an attachment-focused family therapist, I work primarily with children, young adults and parents. With families, I utilize a playful, engaged presence, use movement and play, and enjoy coaching parents in new ways of understanding themselves and being with their children that promote connection and growth. I work often with children with attachment insecurity, negative behaviors related to trauma, anxiety, depression, or ADHD. I hope my clients take away a sense of hope in their ability to overcome their challenges and a sense of their own value. Many of the families I assist feel stuck in a negative pattern of anxiety, conflict, and anger. I believe the primary means for change is through playful, accepting, reciprocal relationships with those around us. By exploring the barriers to these connections and instilling hope for something different, we can create new pathways for healing and lasting change.
