After serving 6 years in the United States Air Force, Quinton completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas in Psychology. He graduated from Amberton University with a Masters of Art in Professional Counseling and is now licensed in the state of Texas. Quinton also has a Master of Science in Health Studies from Texas Women's University. Quinton is Trauma Model Therapy certified by the Ross Institute of Psychological Trauma. The mind, body, and relationships develop throughout life. Traumatic experiences or stress can cause this development to be blocked. Sometimes we need someone to be present while we process what has happened to better understand what we feel. Out of this therapeutic interaction, new ways of being aware of distressing experiences can transform symptoms into something meaningful. To accomplish this therapy goal I integrate Trauma Model Therapy and Experiential Therapy into Psychodynamic Therapy. Therapy can be a unique environment to explore experiences and current circumstances. Being heard in a deeply reflective way can open up feelings that may have been previously unconscious. This journey can be a time for development and encouragement to cope better with life's difficulties.
