Hello, my name is Renee. I have been practicing in the field of mental health since 2006. I have a master's in education with a focus on mental health and addiction. I also completed numerous trainings in trauma, and modalities that treat trauma, such as first responder counseling, internal family systems, DBT, CBT, child-parent psychotherapy, mindfulness, compassionate mind and somatic techniques. The relationship between client and therapist is at the core of the therapeutic process and trust is a must. Providing a safe, nonjudgmental foundation to the client is paramount for a healing atmosphere. Continued education for myself as a therapist is my personal philosophy. I want to provide the client with a buffet of opportunities from which to choose to improve their life. The focus of my sessions is getting to the core of the issue that the client is facing. I do this with a caring, sensitive process of open-ended questions focusing on early attachments, internal belief systems, traumas, and most importantly the goals that the client wants to attain. I combine this with respecting the client's pace and voiced needs to provide them with a safe atmosphere from which they feel seen, safe and heard.

Do participating providers pay us?

To make our site free for consumers, Psych Hub receives fees from provider groups, networks, or individual providers to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. Some also purchase Psych Hub's educational content for practitioner training and client support. These fees enable us to operate our service, including screening and updating information on each provider.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
