Richard Sohn
I am a cognitive-behavioral therapist who specializes in treating panic attacks , severe depression, PTSD, and anger management . Most recently, I was the psychologist for the US Special Operations Command Korea, serving the SOF warfighters with their unique challenges. Prior to this, I had a private practice in Southern California. I have a BA in psychology from UCLA and a Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. I help my clients achieve small successes, then build on them to achieve great things. My therapeutic approach, which is based on my education in neurobiology and health psychology and trained in trauma-focused CBT, seeks to address the underlying causes of behavioral health difficulties by altering undesired thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My belief in therapy is simple yet profound: change is possible for everyone. My approach aims to tackle the underlying causes of anxiety, trauma, and anger by transforming undesirable thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Regardless of age, I believe in empowering my clients to make positive changes, guiding them every step of the way. Let's embark on this journey together towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.
