Robert Stahl
Rob is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 20 years experience in the mental health field. He has worked with people from ages 3 to over 100, and with a variety of issues and challenges including relationship issues, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, physical disabilities, and more. Rob completed his Master's degree at Drexel University in 2015 and obtained his LPC in 2019. My primary approach to counseling is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which I am certified to do through a 1-year training from psychologists at the Aaron Beck Institute. (Aaron Beck created the foundation for CBT). CBT is an evidence-based, effective treatment for many mental health issues. Rob has a unique perspective also having been trained in person-centered and psychodynamic music therapy. I will work hard to understand and affirm the feelings and experiences that have brought you into my office. I will be warm and use a lot of humor, but also be direct and confronting when needed. There will always be space for you to vent and express what is on your mind, but I will also work collaboratively with you to identify your goals, stay focused on them on our sessions, and find solutions to help you reach them.
