Russ Reeves
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in helping individuals (adolescents and adults) navigate challenging life transitions, including those related to family, career, and religion. I also work with individuals managing ADHD and autism, offering support tailored to their unique experiences and needs. As a second-career therapist, I bring a unique perspective from my previous role as a professor of religious studies and history in higher education. I draw from a variety of approaches, including: Action and Commitment Therapy (ACT): An evidence-based method for making meaningful behavioral changes. Depth psychology: A Jungian approach to uncover hidden or forgotten aspects of yourself. Brainspotting: A technique for processing and releasing emotional and physical pain, trauma, and other challenging symptoms. Philosophical and Spiritual traditions: Tools to help you connect with this inner wisdom. I see therapy as a collaborative journey, helping you uncover the deeper meaning behind your words. My role isn’t to tell you what to do or believe but to guide you in understanding yourself more fully and bringing your authentic identity to life. Drawing from my own transformative experience with therapy, I strive to be both supportive and appropriately challenging. Together, we explore: What might you be missing in life by not fully knowing and embracing all that you truly are?.
