I believe that psychotherapy is a meditative dialogue that is constructed between you and I with the purpose of creating a sacred space. The function of the dialogue within the sacred space is to access memories, symbolic images and past experiences that live in your unconscious, and bring those contents into present awareness. This entire process is to help your personality to grow and often decrease the experience of emotional and spiritual pain. I am an African American male who believes as Psychiatrist Carl Jung stated that, "the one that realizes that all is not well within their psychic condition has the possibility of finding a spiritual vantage, a kingdom that is not without, but within." My specialties include individual psychotherapy, masculine development, adolescent and adult cultural identity development, psychotherapy for the helping professions (Physicians, Pastors, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Teachers, etc.). My services include psychotherapy sessions, psychotherapy specific to counselors-in-training, consultation, dream work (individual and group), educational seminars, public lectures, and workshops.
