Ryan Smothers
My name is Ryan Smothers, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have practiced Social Work for 6 years, and my approach is allowing my clients to feel heard, valued, and understood in their time of seeking solace. My style and strengths is to create a warm, inviting atmosphere in providing active listening all the while I want to meet you where you are within your situation to help you navigate your journey towards healing. My ultimate goal within my practice is to allow my clients to feel validated, heard, and understood. I want to work at your pace within therapy, and I want to create a space of comfort, acceptance, and trust. My approach is person-centered, and I want to assist in any way I can to find your solace. Most of my experience and feedback from individuals has been that they feel like they are at home talking with a family friend. I want my clients to walk away with a sense of validation that they have been heard, and together we can create an experience of acceptance. My clients have the autonomy to work at their desired pace, and to me this allows for positive change to occur.
