My name is Sarah Tomcala, and I am a licensed therapist in the states of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. I have been working in the field of counseling since 2005, and specializing in substance abuse and trauma since 2010. If life has taught me anything, its that it is absolutely FULL of unexpected curve balls. Even the best laid plans and protective factors can feel as though they come up short in the face of some pains and heartaches. It is often difficult to know where to turn in these moments, and therapy can be a great resource. My hope is to be a support and encouragement to you in these difficult and unknown times through using research based methodologies including CBT, DBT, and EMDR. My goal is to create a welcoming, non judgmental and supportive environment where we can work together to meet goals and improve your life.

To make our site free for consumers, Psych Hub receives fees from provider groups, networks, or individual providers to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. Some also purchase Psych Hub's educational content for practitioner training and client support. These fees enable us to operate our service, including screening and updating information on each provider.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
