Shanae Stover
Greetings! I am a GSU and USC Alumni. I was raised in Harlem (NYC, NY) and live in Atlanta, GA. I raised two children as a single mother. Life has not been easy and I am no stranger to navigating challenges. However, I am an example of how anyone can thrive with the right skills and support. There are no credentials for life experiences; my personal journey, including the adversities I’ve overcome, has shaped the empathy, understanding, and non-judgment I bring into every session. I bring a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to therapy where you can feel comfortable being your true self. I communicate with empathy, authenticity, and without judgment to foster trust and openness. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives. Together, we clarify your reasons for seeking therapy, identify meaningful goals, and map out a plan for progress. My approach is collaborative and grounded in client's self-determination, ensuring that each step aligns with your priorities. My clients can expect sessions that feel collaborative and empowering, where you walk away feeling truly heard, understood, supported, and knowing that whatever you're going through, you don’t have to face it alone. The goal is for you to leave feeling lighter, more confident, and more connected to yourself and others. Each session you will work on mastering the tools needed to face challenges with resilience and clarity. With time, the things that once felt overwhelming will feel manageable.
