Sharhonda Dunbar
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia, Florida, and Texas. My extensive clinical training has allowed me to work in many different settings including private practice, college campuses, jails, community-based agencies, and the entertainment industry. I am currently a Doctoral Student and Professor at the University of Alabama. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. Compassion, empathy, and authenticity are at the core of my practice. I believe in creating a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship that promotes healing and growth. I utilize a client-centered approach, integrating cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and psychodynamic theories to tailor therapy to each client's unique needs and goals. I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome obstacles and lead fulfilling lives. I prioritize your individual needs and goals for therapy.
