Sharon Werner
Do you struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, or feelings of self-rejection? Change IS possible. You may have noticed that we sometimes believe some crazy things when we are trying to make ourselves "better." We think that if we beat ourselves up enough, somehow we will be "better." If we judge ourselves enough, if we reject ourselves enough, somehow, we think we will be more loving...more caring...more productive. Nothing could be further from the truth. Using compassion-based approaches based in mindfulness, curiosity, and self-respect allows us to begin to empower ourselves. I believe self-kindness is key. My approach to working with any challenges is compassionate, respectful, warm, and curious, while being evidence-based – which means I will bring the best of current research and utilize methods that have been shown to be effective. You can expect to be fully met in our session, with warmth, curiosity, acceptance, and the belief that you CAN overcome your struggles and issues. My clients walk away with more self-acceptance and a toolbox of strategies for managing the difficult times in life. My training in mindfulness-informed approaches such as MBSR, MBCT, and Mindful Self-Compassion helps me to help clients find their strength and self-kindness.
