"Shelley Parrett is an Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri Kansas City, obtained in 2006. Specializing in a wide range of issues including anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and trauma, Shelley is committed to helping clients navigate their mental health challenges with dignity and respect. Her experience spans various mental health settings, such as hospitals, emergency rooms, outpatient care, and court-ordered treatment programs. Shelley employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy, alongside assessment tools to address complex issues like depression, anxiety, self-harming behaviors, and suicidal thoughts. Her approach includes creating safety plans, teaching coping skills, practicing skill work, and trauma processing, aiming to provide a safe space for clients to manage emotional dysregulation.
