I have over 10 years of mental health experience and 17 years as a social worker. I received my Master of Social Worker from Louisiana State University. I am also a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, which is an advanced practice certification embodying the highest standards of clinical education, training, and experience. My approach to treatment is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Techniques, as well as using the Strength’s Perspective to help my clients in the journey of life. My area of focus is those who suffer with depression, anxiety, aging challenges, and spirituality in the Christian realm. I am certified through PESI as a Certified Informed Grief Specialist. Therapy can involve exposing many things your brain has worked hard to hide. As we meet for the first time, it is expected that you may have some uneasiness. You may release painful memories, feelings, and emotions that you may have not known existed. This is normal – but don’t let it keep you from seeking help. The first session will include introductions, plenty of questions as we get to know each other, discuss your goals for treatment and a look into end of therapy support.
