Siya Mehtani
Siya Mehtani, DO, MPH, earned her BA in Psychology and Cognitive Sciences at Rice University in Houston, TX. She earned her DO and MPH at the University of Texas HSC in Fort Worth, TX. She completed Adult Psychiatry Residency at San Mateo BHRS in San Mateo, CA. She completed Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. She has had additional training in psychoanalysis, trauma and recovery, psychedelic integration, and yoga and dance. She offers medication management and/or psychotherapy on a case-by-case basis. Her treatment approach is personalized, holistic, focused on psychoeducation, relationship, growth, self-empowerment and establishing a setting that is safe and secure. She has a strong interest in working collaboratively, and strives to make sure patients feel heard and seen. Her areas of interest are in complex trauma, stigma, mind-body connection, cultural issues in mental health, healthcare workers, mindfulness, wellness and recovery, psychotherapy and spirituality.
