Stephanie Burbridge
Taking the first step to start counseling is difficult, but I believe engaging in therapy can be a rewarding and positive experience that can change your life. My goal is to help you learn tools and skills you can use to manage stress and reduce symptoms that interfere with your daily life. I specialize in treating anxiety and depression; however, I also have experience in helping clients with bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, substance abuse, and relationship concerns. I rely on evidence-based practices in my approach to counseling, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. I believe that you as the client are the expert on your life, and I will encourage you to set goals so that we can focus on what is most important to you in this process. I encourage you to reach out with any questions you have so that we can get started. I have 9 years of experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient drug/alcohol treatment, community mental health centers, and private practice. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Mount Union, and I obtained my Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. I am currently offering telehealth video sessions through SonderMind Monday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM.
