Welcome! I have been a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years. I have worked primarily with adults, and specialize in the older adult population. I received a Certificate in Gerontology along with my Master's Degree from Rutgers University. I have worked in a variety of setting over the years, however, I truly enjoy working one on one with individuals (creating a warm and safe environment) working towards their therapeutic goals. Everyone is unique. There is not a "one size fits all" for therapy. I utilize various treatment modalities based on an individual's presenting issues, personality, and the goals they set for themselves. Feeling understood, heard, and starting to build a therapeutic relationship is what you can expect from our first session. While there will be directed questions, it is an opportunity to start to process what you would like to gain out our time together.
