I have over 10 years of experience working with adults in different modalities including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Group Psychotherapy. I have additional training in Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders from the Seleni Institute. I received my Master's of Science in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work where I studied Advanced Clinical Practice. My approach is creative and a blend of the modalities I have trained in. I tailor my approach to each client I work with in order to help them address their specific needs and goals for therapy. I am transparent with clients about my process and collaborate with them throughout treatment to ensure they are getting the care they need and deserve. In working with clients we have succeeded in reducing the intensity of symptoms associated with PTSD, anxiety and depression. When working with couples, we have succeeded in facilitating more effective communication, increasing relationship satisfaction and increasing relationship specific skills that they can use beyond therapy. With all of my clients who have engaged in treatment successfully, many report feeling a stronger sense of self and empowerment to make conscious choices.
