Hello. I am Desiree Lurie, a Licensed clinical social worker, (Masters In Social work) with over 20 years of experience working with diverse populations (age, background and circumstances.) I am a passionate advocate for positive mental health, by reducing stigma and dispelling myths to normalize diagnosis and treatment. I work with clients from age 12 up with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, grief and loss. I also meet with couples and families around relationship concerns. As a therapist, my goal is to make clients feel safe, improve self confidence and feel they have control over their own lives. Therapy is an individualized experience, not 'one size fits all'. I also discuss realistic expectations and limitations of therapy, and encourage feedback about the therapy process. During sessions, we will discuss challenges you are facing and celebrate gains and changes you have made. To reinforce progress, I will encourage clients to 'practice' new skills or do other exercises as agreed between sessions. 'homework'.

If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random.
