I am a LCSW/Psychotherapist passionate about assisting individuals with uncovering hidden barriers to self-improvement. Providing treatment to underserved populations such as immigrants, and those living in poverty-stricken neighborhoods with less access to services. I am intrigued by my work with couples and families, especially as we connect childhood trauma with current functioning. There is special attention placed on culture, and childhood experiences that shape decision making and personality traits that may have developed unhealthy coping skills and behaviors. I utilize an Open Communication Style which will also include mirroring internal struggles when appropriate. I work to build up strengths and resiliency to assist with motivating clients to live healthier more productive lives. Clients should be able to take away tools in order to function, and grow as an individual and with confidence to navigate life's challenges, and successes.
