In 2003, I received my MSW from the University of New England and have been licensed as an LCSW since 2009.I am licensed in both Maine and Florida. I am a trauma informed therapist with experience with substance use and mental health disorders as well as major mental illnesses. I utilize a combination of interventions and curriculum, CBT, mindfulness techniques and complimentary practices, which are based in evidence and tailored to the individual. I am solution oriented and I pay special attention to the strengths of each person and am very relational in my approach. Everyone needs power and control over the destiny of their life. I help individuals look within and connect to the consciousness outside the mind, to transcend and transform the problem, offering guidance and practical strategies to assist w/ healing from addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma. I know recovery is possible and you can find joy and meaning in your life. You matter. I define recovery as: A process of reclaiming what has been lost due to trauma, addiction and mental health issues.
