Hey blessings, my name is Theron. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work at Stony Brook University. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in various settings including People Living with AIDs, Foster Care, Group Homes, the Formerly Incarcerated and Juvenile Detention. I work with clients from a strength based, solution oriented, and Cognitive Behavioral frame of reference. My goal is to look at how past experiences impact current functioning with the goal of helping one create new healthier narratives.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What is the relationship between Psych Hub and these providers?

The providers listed on our site are all independent entities from Psych Hub. We have a contractual relationship with each provider that governs the terms of their participation on the site, and in some cases, as mentioned above, their use of Psych Hub's educational content. What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
