As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have a passion for improving the wellbeing and coping skills of youth and young adults. I have been working with individuals ages 8 to 20 for about 4 years to help manage their anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, life transitions, and issues related too behavior. I am motivated to build effective relationships and ensure needs are met and improvements are made. I believe therapy is a partnership and we have to work together to ensure healing! I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT-C). This means that we work on changing negative or problematic thought patterns and building coping strategies. I also enjoy doing family sessions to change the way that families communicate and work together. During our introduction session, you will have the opportunity to explain what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We will work together to figure this out! I am direct but warm in my therapy approach. I strive to create a welcoming environment that helps you feel comfortable sharing. From there, we will work together during sessions, to make your goals reality.
