Dr. Uche Uka is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner whose education and experience have equipped her with the mental capacity, and the required skills to deliver empathetic and compassionate mental care to patients of all ages. She offers Psychotherapy and other psychiatric services. Her area of specialty includes but is not limited to disorders. Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, ADHD, Eating disorder, Addiction, and other psychiatric disorders. She obtained her bachelor’s in nursing degree from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor, Belton, Texas, and her Master's and Doctor of Nursing degrees in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of South Alabama. Dr. Uche has more than twelve years of experience in healthcare and more than 10 years in mental health. The focus of my practice is offering assessments and diagnoses of various mental health disorders and behavioral issues. I enjoy working with patients of all ages and backgrounds to find the most suitable treatment model based on their diagnoses and mental health needs. These include pharmacological interventions where we discuss treatment goals and guide the patient to take approved medications to help them meet their therapeutic goals. I also work with other mental and behavioral health specialists such as Licensed Professional Counselors to provide non-pharmacological treatment such as counseling and psychotherapy.
