Vanessa Iaffa
Vanessa Iaffa brings over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds across a range of disciplines, providing services in both English and Spanish. Vanessa is a graduate of Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, and trained in various therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Relational Therapy, Family Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused-CBT, and mindfulness practices. In our sessions, you’ll find a welcoming and confidential space where you can openly share your thoughts and emotions. In therapy, the role of the therapist is akin to a mirror, reflecting your thoughts, feelings, and experiences clearly to help you gain insight. This supportive, non-judgmental reflection allows you to explore different perspectives, foster personal growth, and enhance your strengths in a way that respects your authenticity and creativity. Our work together will be a shared journey that not only addresses the challenges you face but also emphasizes and builds upon your strengths. You’ll be encouraged to use your creativity and self-expression as tools for healing. If you are looking for support with personal issues, relationship challenges, past traumas, or the experience of grief, I am here to help guide your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
