Greetings! I am a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), as well as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in Georgia with original roots in Ohio. I am a Vietnam-Era Veteran with experience working with veterans and the homeless population. Compassion, understanding, empathy, along with a very direct approach to solutions. I have the ability to listen for the "unspoken words", that helps the client and myself get to where we need to be in order for their goals to be reached. I pray they'll be able to laugh again. I think humor is a good tool to possess if used at the right time and the right moments during sessions. My wife says I miss my calling as a comedian. I want my clients to feel free to laugh, cry, get angry, recover and also to heal. I love helping people, because whether they know it or not, I also learn and grow from listening to my clients. I not only practice therapy I live and apply what I have learned along the way.

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
