Dr. Yolanda Brannon is a clinical health-psychologist with a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, a M.S. in Counseling & Clinical Health Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, B.S. in psychology from SC State University, & Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Andersonville Theological Seminary. BCIA certified in EMG biofeedback, AABC board certified bariatric counselor, & Registered Play Therapy-Supervisor of Association for Play Therapy As a clinical health-psychologist, I enjoy helping individuals cope and adjust to living with various chronic medical conditions. My specialty areas include obesity/weight management, problematic eating behaviors, chronic pain, pre-diabetes/diabetes, and gastrointestinal disorders. Psychological principles and empirical treatment modalities incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, solution-focused, and nutritional-psychology strategies are taught and used to target problematic cognitions, behaviors, emotions, and lifestyle habits that hamper progress towards desired health-behavioral goals.
