POSITION OVERVIEW

Psych Hub is looking for an experienced content strategist, editor, and writer to lead the development 

of highly engaging and clinically sound consumer-focused mental health and behavioral health content. In Q4 of this year, we will launch a consumer-focused care navigation marketplace. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the voice and content strategy of Psych Hub, an essential part of driving traffic, engagement, and conversions for the marketplace. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and has experience in the behavioral health / mental health space as well as experience driving the development of compelling content and editorial strategies with a content marketing / SEO / social media lens.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content is aligned with Psych Hub’s brand voice, messaging, and goals.
  • Create and manage detailed content schedules and coordinate content release dates with product and marketing teams.
  • Oversee execution of independent contractor agreements (ICAs) and statements of work (SOWs) with vendors.
  • Implement best practices, workflows, etc. to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure content credibility.
  • Authors, edits, and proofreads content.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve content strategy and execution, and be up to date on currently trending mental health topics.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop short and long-term content development strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to lead the creation of high-quality, engaging, consumer-focused content – both through hands-on writing/editing and through the recruitment and management of a network of contract writers
  • Degree in behavioral/mental health (licensed clinician a plus), marketing, journalism, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, content development, copywriting, editing, or related role
  • 3+ years of experience with behavioral/mental health-related businesses or content
  • Experience driving online consumer traffic and engagement by leveraging various consumer-focused digital content types: articles/blogs, videos, social media, infographics, quizzes, interviews, etc. 
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with a drive to build something big and meaningful
  • Current on trending behavioral health topics, issues, and developments
  • Proficiency in SEO best practices and tools
  • Experience with Google Analytics and other analytics platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks, and strong planning and management skills to effectively lead a distributed group of writers and content producers
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Customer-centric mindset and dedication to delivering value to our audience

The actual base salary for the chosen candidate will depend on various factors, such as job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and geographical location. We are a startup; it is rare for someone to be hired at the higher end of the pay range for their role. Psych Hub compensation decisions are made based on the specifics of each position and candidate.
